Click below for available explanations, solutions, and/or workarounds to known issues with the Rhino Element Manager:
In the Rhino Elements Monitor, statistics don't display for Rhino 2.1 instances.
The suggested "View Credentials" for new Rhino instances have the Username view. The Rhino Elements Monitor uses these View Credentials to connect to an instance. In Rhino versions older than v2.2, the role for the view user does not have permissions to create a stats session in Rhino, so the statistics do not display, and the REM log periodically displays AccessControlException stack traces.
Change the View Credentials to a user with sufficient (admin) permissions.
The refresh timer sometimes causes pages to refresh while you're editing.
The appender page doesn't display the current appender configuration for Rhino 2.1 instances.
Appender details were not exposed by the management APIs in Rhino 2.1. They have been added to Rhino 2.2, so appender details can be viewed in read-only mode when connected to Rhino 2.2 instances.
Serialization errors when shutting down REM.
Depending on which screens have been used, some objects stored in the servlet session cannot be persisted to disk when REM shuts down. These sessions will not be restored when REM restarts, but the error is otherwise harmless.
Write-only profile attributes of type boolean and array are not handled in the Profile Editor.
REM has to handle each attribute type differently to decide how to display it. Attributes can also be read-write, read-only, or write-only; and each case has to be handled differently for each attribute type. Currently, REM does not have special handling for write-only attributes of boolean or array types, so they will not be presented correctly in the Profile Editor.
Use the Rhino command-line tool to perform these management operations.
Inspection filter form values don't reset when cancel is pressed.
Change the filter values back manually, to avoid having them applied next time the list is refreshed.
